Mind Disrupted Biomonitoring Report
From Alaska Community Action on Toxics, Commonweal & Learning Developmental Disabilities Initiative.
A new report by ACAT, Commonweal, and the Learning and Developmental Disabilities Initiative details the first-ever biomonitoring project identifying toxic chemical pollution in people from the learning and developmental disability community. Mind, Disrupted examines 61 toxic chemicals present in the bodies of study participants in the context of rising rates of autism, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, and other learning and developmental disabilities.

Surface Water Ambient Toxics Monitoring Program (SWAT) (Link to Maine DEP)
Maine’s Surface Water Ambient Toxics (SWAT) monitoring program was established in 1993
(38 MRSA §420-B) to determine the nature, scope and severity of toxic contamination in the
surface waters and fisheries of the State.
